How to Sculpt Sexy Legs and a Tight Tush Doing lower body training is tough but highly worth every bit of energy used to blast through a tough lower body workout. To get lean legs and behind takes motivation, dedication and determination to achieve the results you desire.  Who wants to jiggle in their swimsuit as they walk along the beach or pool, I sure don’t! For starters, plan on training Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to get your legs and glutes in shape faster, you can alternate lower body training days each new week as well if you'd like.  Working legs take a lot of energy to push through a good, hard workout, the energy used is that of your brown fat. When you dig deep for added strength while doing that last rep, your body will go for deep stored fat much like it does with doing HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). Doing so burns more calories during and after you train.

However, when I ask what their typical breakfast consist of, it’s common to hear, “I have oatmeal, orange juice, and toast for breakfast.” Little do they know that eating a high carbohydrate breakfast with little to no fat or protein actually is not a healthy breakfast—it’s a simple carb loaded breakfast, which spikes insulin and causes weight gain. They're correct that each food group is healthy, but coupled together without protein isn't as healthy as they may think.

         Yummy Stovetop Popcorn:  Made with Coconut Oil The other day I was chatting with my sister while visiting with her in her home, the topic of popcorn came up and she shared with me how she makes her popcorn on the stove, in a pan. I’ve always made air popped popcorn and was intrigued with making delicious popcorn on the stove. She said it tastes a lot like movie popcorn. I could hardly wait to try it! When eating a low carb diet, it’s good to carb load at least once a week to restore the glycogen stores in muscles to create fuller, leaner, stronger muscles when working out. So, my go-to carbohydrate treat is popcorn. (I have a protein drink before I have carbs to help keep my blood sugar balanced.) I steer clear of unhealthy microwaved popcorn and opt for healthy air-popped popcorn.

Paleo Low Carb Protein Spiced Pumpkin Cookies I absolutely LOVE this time of year! I relish the smell of fall in the air and joy of baking delicious fall desserts for my family.  I enjoy baking traditional recipes for my family, however, I don't eat sugar nor do I eat wheat or high carb flours.  Sugar and high carbs only cause weight gain and inflammation in the body, which is why I eat a clean diet free of trans fats, processed foods, sugars and high carbs.  Protein is also a high priority in my diet, I incorporate protein into my recipes when fitting.
